Wyatt Wilson

Wyatt James Wilson, son of Benjamin and Megan (Johnston) Wilson, was born Dec. 8, 2018, at Boone County Hospital in Boone. Wyatt passed away at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson on March 22, 2019, at the age of three months and 14 days.

During Wyatt’s three short months here on Earth, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. He loved to be held close by his mom and dad. His life was a brief gift, and he was loved by all who met him. He will be greatly missed.

Wyatt is preceded in death by his grandpa George Wilson and uncle Russell Wilson.

He is survived by his parents, Ben and Megan Wilson of Linden; grandparents, Larry and Dalieth Johnston of Grand Junction and Jack and Roxanne Brown of Creston; great-grandparents, Linda Johnston of Jefferson, Donald Raisch of Schleswig and Clifford and Lois Olsen of Creston; aunts and uncles, Ryan Johnston of Waukee, Jeremy (Ashley) Johnston of Grand Junction and their children, Benjamin, Taylor, Karen and Jacob, Bradley (Casey) Johnston of Grand Junction and their children, Spencer and Natalie, Tyler (Jen) Johnston of Jefferson and their children, Taylor, Austin and Breckyn, Michael (Ayaka) Johnston of Jefferson and their children, Kenzo and Naomi, Allen (Dustie) Pottorff of Urbandale and their children, Hayden and Callie, Jim Wilson of Creston, Rich Wilson of Murray and Carol Wilson of Virginia; numerous great-aunts and -uncles; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction. Interment will be in Junction Township Cemetery in Grand Junction. Visitation with the family present to greet friends was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home, 119 W. Lincoln Way, in Jefferson.
