Donna Snider, 85, of Murray died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola with the Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiating. Visitation with family present was from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, prior to services at the funeral home. Interment was in Murray Cemetery. Donna Marie (Bedier) Snider, daughter of Roy and Mabel (Tepfer) Bedier, was born April 30, 1933, in Clarke County. She grew up on a farm south of Murray. She attended country school and graduated from Murray High School in 1951. She pursued a career with the Attorney General’s Office in Des Moines until she married.
On Sept, 25, 1954, she married Harold Dean Snider at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They resided in Davenport, where Donna worked in the office for Brammer Manufacturing. In 1956, they moved to a farm south of Murray and began farming with Donna’s parents. Donna spent 55 years farming alongside Harold.
Donna was a member of Hopeville United Methodist Church and Hopeville Ladies Aide.
Donna is survived by her daughter Deanne (Raydean) Boles of Murray; grandsons, Dustin (Amie) Boles of Murray and Michael Boles of Creston; great-grandchildren, Wendie and Lonnie Boles of Murray; brothers-in-law Miles Snider of Seymour and Ben (Marilyn) Snider of Webster City; sister-in-law Helen Snider of Seymour; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mabel Bedier; husband Harold Snider: sister-in-law Alberta Snider; brothers-in-law, Milo Snider, Bill (Marilyn) Snider and infant Bobby Snider; and niece Martha Snider.
