Nina Vaughan, 81, of Winterset died Monday, May 7, 2018, at West Bridge Care Center and Rehab in Winterset.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and burial will be in Orient Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.ochiltree.com.
Nina Caroline Vaughan, daughter of Jacob and Lelia (Johnson) Kinkennon, was born July 15, 1936, in Adair County. She attended school in the Orient area and was a graduate of Orient High School.
Nina obtained her CNA and worked at various nursing homes in Greenfield, Creston and Winterset for more than 25 years.
Nina is survived by her children, Ellen (Eric) Marchant of Winterset, Elizabeth (Rod) Faris of Mount Ayr, Eva Burget of Hampstead, Maryland, Eileen (Darrel) Turner of Alco, Arkansas, and Clarence Vaughan of Earlham; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Levi Recoy; sister Lucille Fletchall; daughter-in-law Jackie Vaughan and grandson William Turner.
