Jennie Webb, 93, of Rochester, Michigan, formerly of Shannon City and Creston areas, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Rochester, Michigan.

Celebration of life graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston. The Rev. Jodi Rushing will officiate. Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. Jennie Marie (Scroggie) Webb, daughter of George W. Scroggie and Maggie May (Schafer) Scroggie, was born Oct. 3, 1924, in Taylor County on the family farm. She graduated from Blockton High School in 1942, then furthered her education at Creston Community College and graduated from Drake University with her bachelor’s degree in education.

On Dec. 31, 1945, Jennie married Isaac Duane Webb in Taylor County. They lived in Shannon City and Creston, when Jennie retired in 1985. Duane died in 1988, and in 1990, Jennie moved to the Phoenix area. She later relocated to Rochester, Michigan, to be closer to her son Marvin.

Jennie was a member of Shannon City Methodist Church and Creston United Methodist Church.

Jennie is survived by her children, Allen Webb, Marvin Webb and Sharon Henderson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Scroggie and Jesse Scroggie; brother-in-law Gale Webb; along with many nieces and nephews.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane in 1988 and siblings, Inez, Opal, Georgia, John and Charles.
