Kathy Husband Myers, 55, of Creston died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at her home.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 809 W. Montgomery St., in Creston with the Rev. Tim Maxa of Lenox United Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the funeral home. A private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Kathy Lavonne Myers, daughter of Mervin Leroy and Alice Lucille (Eden) Husband, was born May 13, 1962, in Boone. She graduated from New Market High School with the class of 1980 and attended nursing school in Clarinda.
Kathy worked for many years as a CNA in various nursing homes. She lived in the Sharpsburg area while working for a hog confinement until it closed. Kathy then moved to Creston, where she worked in the rotary file department at Wellman Dynamics.
Kathy served on the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department while living there.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Amanda Husband (Brad Reed) of Creston; grandson Allen Reed of Creston; brother Cecil (Lorri) Green of Texas and nephew Levi Green of Marion.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.
