“We got off to a rough start with those first two sets,” Creston coach Traci Haley said. “Before going into set two we talked about the things that we needed to adjust and we played a better game in set two. The girls came out more fired up and played more aggressively. That seemed to carry on through the other sets. We did a better job of serving but we still struggled with our serve receive.”

Overall, Haley said it was a season of growth and development for the eighth-graders.

“The girls have shown so much growth since August!” Haley said. “We talked about working in the off season, so we’re hoping they will come in and put some work in during the open gyms to become better players and get prepared for high school volleyball.”
