Plastic surgeon joins GRMC Specialty Physicians Clinic

Greater Regional Medical Center welcomes Bryan Folkers, DO, a partner of Bergman Folkers Plastic Surgery in Des Moines, to the team of visiting specialty physicians in the Specialty Physicians and Services Clinic. Folkers, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon has offered outpatient clinic services since July 26.

Folkers will offer consultation and will be regularly scheduled on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. He will also offer some outpatient procedures in the Greater Regional Surgery Center.

An extensive list of specialty services are offered by Folkers and include, but are not limited to, breast reconstruction, breast contouring, augmentation, lift and reduction, eyelid skin removal, post-gastric bypass and massive weight loss skin removal, skin cancer removal, Botox and fillers facial rejuvenation, wound and burn cure evaluation and treatment, scar revisions and body contouring.

Folkers received a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at Iowa State University in Ames and his medical degree at Des Moines University Medical School in Des Moines. His general surgery residency was completed at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He continued his training in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery at South Pointe Hospital/Cleveland Clinic Health Systems in Ohio.
