Terry Gene Tull, 58, of Creston died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., in Mount Ayr with the Rev. Tony Thurston and the Rev. Barton Shields officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date in Payne Cemetery near Hatfield, Missouri. Open visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials are to the American Heart Association. Terry, son of Archie Ivan and RoEmma Murlen (Sissel) Tull, was born Jan. 18, 1958, at home in Hatfield, Missouri. Terry attended school at Mount Ayr Community and later got his GED.

Terry was a handyman doing shingling, painting and working for local farmers. He did work helping tear out abandoned railroads. His last job was working in Clearfield at South Chicken Houses.

Terry married Jeanne Staats, and gained two step-children. They later divorced and he remained single the rest of his life.

Terry is survived by his mother RoEmma Tull of Creston; sisters, Janet (Jim) Sissel of Creston, Connie Abarr (Chris) Norem and Penny (Jerry) Carson of Creston; brother Dale (Marlene) Tull of Diagonal; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents; father in 1974 and sister Peggy Elliott.
