Iowa State Savings Bank expands trust department

On June 1, Arnold “Skip” Kenyon joined Iowa State Savings Bank (ISSB) as senior trust officer and in-house counsel.

Kenyon has practiced law in Creston since 1977 and is currently the president of the Iowa Bar Association. In his new role, Kenyon will lead ISSB’s trust department. Kenyon’s 39 years of experience has spanned many areas of law, while in recent years, his law practice has focused on probate, trust and estate planning as a partner with Kenyon and Nielsen Law Firm in Creston.

“Trust clients benefit from having their personal assets, trust affairs or estate plans looked after by financial professionals, which is why more and more people are coming to ISSB for our services,” said ISSB Chief Financial Officer and Trust Officer Adam Snodgrass. “We enjoy meeting with existing and prospective customers to discuss managing their investments, assisting with farm administration, serving as an executor for a loved one’s estate or just to talk over a variety of financial issues that can be quite complex. Adding Mr. Kenyon to the ISSB Trust Department does a great deal to enhance the range of experience and expertise provided by our team.”

Kenyon is a native of Creston, a graduate of Iowa State University and University of Iowa Law School. He and his wife, Mary Ann, have three adult children, Angela, Joe and Beau.

“During the past several years as a practicing attorney, I recognized a growing need for trust services throughout southwest and south-central Iowa,” Kenyon said. “I am very excited to help meet this need while providing trust services at Iowa State Savings Bank.”

The ISSB Board of Directors Trust Committee oversees the Trust Department. The committee includes Committee Chairman, ISSB Director and retired President David Driskell; ISSB Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Karl Knock; Snodgrass; ISSB Director and Iowa Community Financial Services President Robert Snodgrass and CPA and ISSB Assistant Trust Officer Kim Baker.
