Heading into day two of the 49th annual Crestmoor Best Ball Tournament, Chad Dryden and T.J. Redding had a little ground to make up.

They entered the second 18 two shots behind day one leaders Ryan McKim and Chuck Kuntz, with McKim and Kuntz having carded a 65 on day one.

Redding and Dryden took advantage of a near perfect afternoon featuring warm temperatures and mild wind to earn a come-from-behind win.

Dryden and Redding carded a 63 on day two to earn the win. Doug North and Carson Whittington were second with a two-day total of 132. Ryan Schuetz and Ray Wahwasuck were third with a 136 followed by McKim and Kuntz with a 137.

Both Dryden and Redding had their moments Sunday.

“We pretty much did every other hole,” Redding said. “It seemed like one guy had a birdie the other guy was in the toolies.”

They had the good shots when needed to put together an impressive round.

“It was a ham and egg day,” Dryden said. “It was a good day.”

Dryden and Redding complimented each other nicely during their two tours around the nine-hole course.

“We had our share of good shots,” Redding said.

North and Whittington had their share of good moments on a day when the weather cooperated.

“We enjoyed it,” North said. “We finished well.”

Still, they wondered what might have been.

“We left a lot out there,” North said. “You have those days.”
