Dyann Bowers

Dyann Bowers, 61, of Creston died Friday, June 11, 2016, surrounded by her family at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Wayne Bowers, Jr. will officiate. Memorials are to Greater Regional Hospice Home or Greater Regional Medical Center Cancer Center. Online condolences may be given at www.powersfh.com.

Dyann Lynnet Bowers was born Jan. 5, 1955, a daughter to Phyllis (Nelson) Anderson. She attended school in Creston and graduated from high school there in 1973.

On July 28, 1979, Dyann was united in marriage to Dwight Maynard Bowers in Creston. They were blessed with one son Dustin.

Dyann was a life-long Creston resident and worked at Connections Area Agency on Aging as their fiscal and office manager. Dyann will always be remembered for her kindhearted and loving spirit. She touched the lives of many people who had the pleasure of knowing her and made you realize that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Surviving Dyann are her husband Dwight of Creston; mother Phyllis Anderson of Creston; son Dustin (wife Jennifer) Bowers of Creston; grandson Kane Bowers; brother Roger (wife Elizabeth) Anderson of Illinois; two sisters, Lynda Utley of Des Moines and Janet (husband Lawrence) Streich of Illinois; brother-in-law Wayne, Jr. (Janice) Bowers of Lamoni; sister-in-law Martha Gayle Brenizer of Osceola; along with many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Ray and Wilma Nelson and mother- and father-in-law Wayne and Yvonne Bowers.
