Darrell Heckman

Darrell Lee Heckman, 75, of Greeley, Colorado, and Creston died May 23, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Darrell, son of Lawrence and Lela Heckman, was an over-the-road truck driver most of his life.

Darrell loved family reunions and visiting friends, so his memorial will be a potluck dinner 1 p.m. June 12 at Guthrie Center Activity Center, 209 State St., in Guthrie Center. Bring a potluck dish and stories to share.

Darrell is survived by his son Darren Heckman; grandchildren, Grant Heckman and Lexie Heckman of Creston; brothers, Dean and Don Heckman and sisters, Loa Stewart and Ruth Heckman.

Darrell was preceded in death by his brother Bob Heckman, sister Joan Emshoff and son Colton Pulver.
