Tammy Jo Oltman, 52, of Creston died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at her home in Creston.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., in Creston. The Rev. Gordon Scott of Villisca will officiate. There will be a luncheon in the funeral service community room immediately following the funeral service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Creston at a later date. Open visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Tammy Jo Oltman, daughter of James Davis and Virginia Anne (Norman) Sash, was born May 16, 1963, in Creston. Tammy graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1981. Tammy received an associate degree in interior design from Johnson County Community College in Kansas City, Kansas.
On June 27, 1992, she married Tony Oltman in Creston, and they later divorced. Tammy lived in Malibu, California, for about 10 years working as a property manager. The past two years she has been employed at Casey’s in Creston and Villisca.
Tammy is survived by her daughter Rhiannon (Joe) Cooney of Villisca; brother Jim Sash of Creston; sister Terri Sash (special friend David Gavin) of Des Moines; special friend Lyle Schrodt of Creston; grandchildren, Haddie Spencer and Howard, Cambry, Jamison and Jackson Cooney; ex-husband Tony Oltman of Fort Wright, Kentucky; nephews, Sean Lissarrague of Phoenix, Arizona, and James Sash of Iowa City and many friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; brother John Sash; aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Bob Norman; cousin Donnie Norman and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
