George Tindle

George Tindle, 58, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Creston, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, in Creston. Private burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial donations should be made to Kiya Koda Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

George Robert Tindle, son of George and Shirley Tindle of Creston, was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Des Moines. After living in Des Moines, the family returned to Creston where George attended grade school and high school.

After high school, George moved to Des Moines and worked as a supervisor at Wendy’s Corporation for 12 years. George and his partner Marv then moved to Chicago where he worked for Motorola for several years before moving to Phoenix 10 years ago.

George is survived by his longtime partner Marv Jr. Limbach; mother Shirley Tindle; brothers, Dan (Debra) Tindle and David Tindle; sisters, Susan Tindle, Cindy (Gerald) Okins and Judith (Scott) Downard; many nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his grandparents, father George I Tindle, grandma Bea Gegner and niece Jessica Tindle.
