Mervin Husband, age 88, of Bedford entered into peace Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Greenfield Manor in Greenfield.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Ritchie Funeral Home, 222 E. Washington St., in Clarinda with Jeff Cummings officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to C.A.R.E. of Creston. Mervin Leroy Husband was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Delta to John Husband and Veva Muriel (Griggs) Husband. Mervin was a farmer and auctioneer. On Aug. 8, 1956, he married Alice Eden and they lived on a farm near Bedford.
Mervin was preceded in death by his parents; wife Alice Husband; sister Veva and brothers, Kenny, Dale and Clarence.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Marvin) Umphrey of Creston; son Cecil (Lori) Green of Manor, Texas; granddaughter Amanda Husband of Creston and sisters, Margaret Herr and Dorothy Gibson.
