Brandon Lowell Hanson was born Monday April 27th 1981, 8:21am in Creston Iowa to Kim Allen Hanson and Maxine Ann Hanson. Brandon passed away May 21st 2015, at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park Florida after a long illness of Melanoma. Brandon graduated from Creston High School in May 2000. Brandon married Tonya Sexton April 1st 2011, and was blessed with a daughter, Emelia born July 21st 2009.
Brandon enjoyed all sports as a young man especially baseball and fishing. Growing up Brandon was especially close to his cousin Tyler. After high school Brandon worked at Gits Manufacturing in Creston. Then he worked 6 weeks with his father at Gits Manufacturing in Chonburi Thailand. After returning to Creston, Brandon worked at Precision Optical. In 2001 Brandon moved to Florida to attend the Marine Mechanic Institute in Orlando, Florida and graduated with the class of 2002, where he continued to live in Pinellas Park. While attending MMI he worked at a local Chevy dealership. After graduating Brandon worked as a marine mechanic at several places around St. Petersburg. The past few years Brandon worked at Home Depot.
Brandon loves his daughter Emelia very much and really enjoyed watching her play baseball. (In Florida they play coed baseball, Emelia started at age 4 and in 2015 was the only girl on the team.) Brandon helped coach Emelia in 2014, and like her father and the rest of the Hanson family, Emelia is a very fast runner. Emelia is Brandon’s pride and joy and he is very proud of her.
