Charme Nelson, 60, of Lenox died from complications of cancer May 9, 2015, at her home.

Celebration of life services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Lenox United Methodist Church. Interment will be in North Cemetery in Lenox. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with family present 5 to 7 p.m. at Ritchie Funeral Home, 124 S. Main St., Lenox. Memorials be given in Charme's name. Charme Susan (Campbell) Nelson, daughter of Carmen (Thompson) and Don “Toby” Campbell, was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Creston.

Charme grew up attending Creston High School and graduated in 1972. She then attended Southwestern Community College in Creston where she obtained her Associate of Arts degree.

After college graduation, Charme moved to Des Moines where she worked for Hy-Vee and Farm Bureau. She returned to Creston in 1975.

On March 20, 1976, Charme married Dennis Nelson in Lenox.

Dennis and Charme made their home in Lenox. Charme worked at Bunn-O-Matic for 25 years.

Charme is survived by her husband Dennis Nelson of Lenox; sons, Kevin (wife Shana) Nelson of Fort Lewis, Wash., Adam (wife Heather) Nelson of Des Moines, Derek (wife Jen) Nelson of Woodbine and Trevor (wife Claire) Nelson of Council Bluffs; grandsons, Karson, Ryan, Kaleb, Brantley and Daxtyn; granddaughters, Jaelynne, Lydia and Jayda; brother Greg Campbell of Illinois; along with many other family relatives and friends.

Charme was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and mother- and father-in-law.
