Dr. Amy Hynek of Ellston and Stacy McFarland of Oskaloosa announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Hynek is the daughter of Bill and Angie Hynek of Ellston. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School, Graceland University and Des Moines University Medical School. Hynek is a general surgery resident at northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Mo.
McFarland is the son of Randy and Deanna McFarland of Bloomfield. He graduated from Bloomfield High School and William Penn University. McFarland is a design engineer at Vermeer.
The couple are planning a 4 p.m. wedding Sept. 1 at Hynek Tree Farm in Ellston.
