Kylie Hunter, 10, of Afton died Aug. 16, 2013, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston. The Rev. Tim Allen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Edward's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Kylie Christine Hunter, daughter of Donna C. (Brown) and Shane R. Hunter, was born Aug. 31, 2002, in Des Moines.
Kylie was a student at East Union Schools, having completed the fourth grade.
She was active with Spotlight School of Dance.
Kylie is survived by her parents, Shane and Donna Hunter of Afton; brother Skylar Hunter of Afton; sister Jalyn Hunter of Afton; grandparents, Tim (wife Pam) Hunter of Afton, Kathy (husband Mike) Spare of Creston and Leah (husband Neil) Dick of Chariton; and great-grandparents, Pat and Dennise Hunter of Indianola, Dee Ette Davidson of Indianola and Ron and Barb Hoover of Russell.
Kylie was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Sadie Steele and Marilyn Hunter and great-grandfather Bill Davidson.
