Judith Lynn (Brammer) Pritchard, daughter of Effie (Simmons) and Rex Brammer, was born July 11, 1945, in Iowa City.
Judy grew up in Creston. She graduated from high school in Newton and lived in Des Moines until 1974.
Judy lived in the Houston, Texas, area for 31 years.
On April 12, 1977, Judy married Richard Lee Pritchard in Houston, Texas.
Judy worked as an apartment manager in a suburb of Houston for nearly 20 years.
Judy and Richard lived in Creston the past seven years.
Judy helped the elderly by cleaning houses and cleaned rental properties for realtors in Creston.
Judy is survived by her husband Richard “Bud” Pritchard of Creston; mother Charity Zimmerman of Rye, Texas; sons, Richard William Allison of Creston, Ronny Allison of Fenton, Mo., and Albert Parrish of Des Moines; daughters, Johnna Allison of Red Wing, Minn., and Heather Parrish of Des Moines; more than 16 grandchildren; more than 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronny (Lacy) Brammer of Conway, Randy (Angie) Downey of Cherokee and Kevin Downey of Creston; brother-in-law Gene Beavers of Creston; sisters, Vicki Moore of Des Moines and Sharon Downey of Carlisle; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Judy was preceded in death by her biological father who died when she was 9 years old; and mother who died when she was 16 years old; sister Carla Beavers; brother Rex McFee; and adoptive father Walt Zimmerman.
