Alice Wardlow-Davies, 62, of Corning died July 15, 2013, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. Mary O'Riley will officiate. Alice was cremated. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Guss. There will be no public viewing. Visitation with family present will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alice Jean Wardlow-Davies, daughter of Audrey Mae (Maples) and John Leonard Beattie, was born April 9, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo.
Alice lived in Maryville, Mo., prior to moving to the Guss area in 1983.
In 2009, Alice moved to Corning.
On Oct. 24, 2010, Alice married Leo Davies. The couple had been together 26 years prior to his death Sept. 3, 2012.
Alice was a nurse’s aide and part of the direct care staff at Midwest Opportunities in Corning, caring for the mentally and physically challenged.
Alice was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church in Guss.
Alice is survived by her children, Rebecca Davis (fiancé Bill Cozad) of Jefferson, Christina Wardlow (significant other Clint Miller) of Corning, Kimberly Wardlow (significant other Jimmie Kuhn) of Corning and Jeffery (Karina) Wardlow of Lenox; stepdaughters, Dr. Kim Davies (husband Michael Millken) of Lenexa, Kan., Kelli (Curt) Haggey of Burlington Junction, Mo., and Kristi (Kevin) Behrhorst of College Springs; stepson Kris (Lexy) Davies of New Market; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Arlene) Beattie of Syracuse, Mo., Lenny (Jo) Beattie of Lubbock, Texas, Keith (Nancy) Beattie of Clarinda and Bob (Maryann) Beattie of Syracuse, N.Y.; sisters, Pat (Earl) Spencer of Kansas City, Kan., and Carol Martin of Henrietta, Okla.; sister-in-law Ada Beattie of Maryville, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brother Marvin Beattie and brother-in-law Danny Martin.
