Ned A. Foltz, 55, of Mount Ayr died Aug. 14, 2011, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Edward Shields and the Rev. Chris Conklin will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Thursday with family present 7 to 9 p.m. at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St. Mount Ayr. Ned A. Foltz, son of Hazel (Smith) and Claire Foltz, was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Mount Ayr.

Ned graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School in 1974. He then graduated from motorcycle mechanics school and later earned a degree in business administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Ned lived and worked in Des Moines for several years managing various businesses.

Ned is survived by his children Nick Foltz of Mount Ayr, Cassie (husband Matthew) Hudson of Creston and Jessica Foltz of Desoto; grandson Sam Hudson; mother Hazel Foltz of Des Moines; sister Lynne Foltz of Des Moines; and brother Lee (wife Linda) Foltz of Waukee.

Ned was preceded in death by his father and sisters, Nancy Irving and Kaye Ward.
