Pamela Caitlin Lauer and Joshua James Kaufman, both of Winterset, were married in a 3 p.m. Aug.1 ceremony at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield. The ceremony was performed by Deacon Gene Krawczyk. Music was by Katie Veatch.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and DeeAnn Lauer of Creston. The groom is the son of Jim and Mindy Kaufman of Creston.
Matrons of honor were Sarah Wilson and Stephanie Mikkelsen, sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Jackie Ford and Jessie Roberts, cousins of the bride, and Ashley Crill.
The bride’s personal attendants were Jennifer Katzer of Ames and Dawn Lauer of Winterset.
Best man was Luke Kaufman, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Brad and Michael Kaufman, brothers of the groom, Nick Roberts and James Korus.
Ushers were Brad Wilson and Curt Mikkelsen, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Jackson Mikkelsen, nephew of the bride.
Flower girls were Anna Mikkelsen and Bailey Wilson, nieces of the bride.
Ring bearer was Harley Crill.
Readings were by Aimee Utsinger, cousin of the bride.
Guest book hostesses were Kristin Powell and Rebecca Maeder, cousins of the bride.
A reception was held in the 4-H building on the Adair County fair grounds.
Reception hosts and hostesses were Lori Utsinger, Dwight and Angie Lauer and Richard and Debbie Jones.
Honored guests were grandparents of the bride Wayne and Mary Jane Spriggs of Greenfield, and Homer and Martha Lauer of Creston, and grandparents of the groom, Virgil and Helen Smith and Howard and Joan Kaufman, all of Bloomington, Ill.
Cake servers were Linda Lilly and Diana Kramer.
In charge of gifts were Mark and Lori Kaufman.
The bride wore an ivory taffeta gown with sweetheart neckline, asymmetrical cut beaded bodice with billowing gathers and tucks. Her veil was ivory with pearl and bead accents. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, stephanotis, mini lime calla lilies and accented with draped beading.
Colors for the wedding were black and lime green with accents in silver.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple reside in Winterset.
