No injuries were reported Friday in a SUV vs. motorcycle accident in Creston.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 6:50 p.m. a 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by Debra J. Hinderaker, 66, of Creston, pulled out of a driveway, southbound on Sumner Street and then immediately drove back into the same driveway on the east side of the street. At the same time, a 2003 Harley Electra Glide, driven by Rickie A. Klos, 67, of Afton, was southbound on Sumner Street.

Klos said he saw the Jeep pull out but thought it was stopping on the side of the road and attempted to pass it. The Jeep turned back toward the driveway in front of Klos, causing him to hit the driver’s door of the Jeep. Hinderaker said she was blinded by the sun and did not see the Harley.

The contributing circumstance to the accident is noted as Hinderaker failing to yield the right-of-way from the driveway.

Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $1,000 and damage to the Harley was estimated at $5,000.
