Creston Police report - April 23, 2024

Timothy L. Williams, 48, of Creston, was taken into custody 11:20 a.m. April 22, at his residence on a Union County warrant for the charges of keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver - marijuana and possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, first offense.

Brenda E. Williams, 44, of Creston, was taken into custody 4:38 p.m. April 22, at her residence on the charges of keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, second offense and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver - marijuana.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1 p.m. April 15 a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 800 block of North Sycamore Street. During the search, law enforcement located approximately five ounces of raw marijuana, two grams of THC wax, 19 THC cartridges, a scale, baggies and drug paraphernalia.

Numerous pieces of mail and medication bottles at the residence had Timothy and Brenda’s name and address on them, showing the residence as theirs.

Timothy and Brenda were transported to the Union County Jail where Timothy was released on $13,300 cash or surety bond and Brenda was released on $14,300 cash or surety bond.

Starla A. Murray, 27, of Creston, was taken into custody 2:22 p.m. April 22 at Walmart on the charge of theft, fifth degree.

According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:26 p.m., Murray attempted to leave Walmart with $122.71 in unpaid merchandise. Murray admitted to officers she attempted to steal the merchandise by proceeding past the point of sale without any attempt to pay for the items.

Murray was cited and released at the scene on a summons to appear.

Brady G. Richert, 45, of Creston, was taken into custody 6:37 p.m. April 22, on a Union County warrant for the charge of violation of no contact/protective order - contempt.

At approximately 8:58 a.m. April 20, officers observed Richert in a vehicle on Montgomery Street with a female who is the protected party in an active protective order against him. A traffic stop was conducted and Richert was taken into custody for the violation.

While being transported to the Union County Jail, officers received a call, the severity of which required all officers to respond. Due to this, Richert was released from the officer’s custody before being booked into the jail and a warrant was filed for and subsequently issued.

Richert was transported to the Union County Jail where he was released from on his own recognizance on a promise to appear.

According to a Creston Police report Richert was charged on a Union County Warrant for Violation of No Contact/Protective Order-Contempt. Richert was taken to the Union County Jail where he is being held on no bond.
