Union County arrests- April 18, 2024

Karina L. Wilkinson, 47, of Creston, was taken into custody April 16 on a Union County warrant for the charge of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, third or subsequent offense.

According to a Union County report, at approximately 2:13 p.m. Jan. 20, Wilkinson was visiting a jail inmate in the Union County Law Enforcement Center lobby. Deputies knew Wilkinson to have an active warrant. Once the warrant was confirmed, contact was made and Wilkinson was taken into custody. She was asked if she had anything illegal on her person and admitted to having a marijuana pipe in her purse. Deputies searched Wilkinson’s purse and located the pipe which contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The substance was sent to the DCI Lab and tested. The results confirmed it to be marijuana.

Wilkinson has prior convictions in May 2021 and July 2023 for possession of controlled substance in Union County.

Wilkinson was transported to the Union County Jail where she was released from after posting $5,000 cash or surety bond.
