Nodaway Valley, O-M to celebrate proms this weekend

Nodaway Valley and Orient-Macksburg are set to celebrate Prom Saturday, April 20.

According to organizers, Nodaway Valley’s Prom theme is “Enchanted.” The public is invited to observe Grand March at 5:30 p.m. at the high school. Attendees will be introduced in front of the school and in the auditorium, before class photos are taken in the gymnasium.

The remainder of the night includes social hour, a photo both, a dance, after prom activities and prizes.

Orient-Macksburg’s theme is “Down Home Prom,” with a western flair.

Students are invited to a photo shoot 4 p.m. Saturday at The Wallace Farm. Drive-up begins at 6:30 outside the north doors of the gymnasium at the school in Orient. A meet and greet time will follow introductions of attendees.

The remainder of Orient-Macksburg’s prom includes a banquet, dance and a post prom trip to the skating rink in Winterset.
