MENLO — The Nodaway Valley cross country teams flashed their dominance here Thursday at the Wildcat Invite hosted by West Central Valley on the 5x80 Golf and Country Club.

Junior Shane Breheny, ranked third in Class 1A, posted a 27-second victory over West Central Valley’s Rylan Heffernan to claim the individual boys title.

Breheny averaged 5:31.7 per mile, covering the 5K course in 17:10.43. Sophomore teammate Skyler Rawlings finished fifth overall in 18:07.29. Senior Nate Venteicher, ranked 24th in 1A, placed eighth in 18:15.01.
