Amanda Beth Atkins, 802 N. Cherry St., was charged with domestic abuse assault 7:48 p.m. Wednesday at her residence.

According to a Creston Police report, at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a domestic dispute that took place at Amanda’s residence. Amanda was lying in bed and Anthony Atkins came and flipped the mattress up because Amanda would not get up. Amanda admitted to punching and scratching Anthony while they were fighting, and Anthony admitted to pushing Amanda because Amanda was scratching him. Anthony had a lip that was bleeding and scratches on his back and arm. There were bite marks on Anthony’s arm.

Amanda Atkins was being held in Ringgold County Jail for Union County awaiting bond hearing.

Joline Rae Logan, 60, 1001 S. Sumner St. Apt. 11, was charged with operating while intoxicated 8:37 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East Montgomery Street.

According to a Creston Police report, at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a report of a possible intoxicated river who was driving a green Isuzu near the intersection of South Elm Street and Highway 34. The complainant reported this vehicle was swerving all over the road and almost hit a car head-on. On this same date at a later time, an officer observed this vehicle traveling north in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. The officer stopped the vehicle in the alley south of the 200 block of East Montgomery Street and identified the driver as being Logan. During this traffic stop, Logan admitted she had been drinking alcohol earlier in the day. Logan submitted to a field sobriety exercise and preliminary breath test, which both indicated her alcohol level was over .08. Logan was transported to Union County Law Enforcement Center, where she submitted to a Data Master breath test. This test indicated her preliminary breath test was .143.

Logan was released on $1,000 bond.

Robert Lowe of Lenox reported a DeWalt radio was taken from an apartment that was being worked on between 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at 208 N. Maple St.

Loss estimate is $175.

Sandy Kipp, 616 N. Chestnut St., reported a tank of gas was taken from her vehicle between 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday while it was parked at her residence.

Loss estimate is $40.
