Casey Ray Thomas White, 29, 901 N. Cherry St., was charged with disorderly conduct and assault with bodily fluids 6:30 p.m. Monday at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, officers received a complaint 5:36 p.m. Monday that White approached Thomas Dee King, 403 N. Mulberry St., at the corner of Harsh and North Cherry streets while King was weed eating. White yelled at King and eventually grabbed the weed eater and tried ripping it out of King’s hands. At 6:14 p.m., White, who was being booked into jail, head-butted the jail door. Officers assisted the jailers to gain control of White and during that, White deliberately spit blood on a jailer.

White was being held at Ringgold County Jail for Union County on $5,000 bond.

An employee of Fareway Food Stores, 105 E. Adams St., reported a theft of between 150 and 200 2-by-4-foot pieces of wood from the store parking lot between Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.

Loss estimate is $400.
