A Winterest man died in a motor vehicle accident Monday in Madison County.
Deputies were dispatched around 6 a.m. Monday to the 1500 block of Macksburg Rd (15 miles southwest of Winterset) after a motorist reported finding a vehicle on its top in the ditch.
After arriving, deputies identified the driver and lone occupant as 57-year-old Daniel Holker of Winterset. Holker was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated. Holker is formerly of Creston.
