Cramer of Fareway Stores, Reed of Deere and Company join Iowa Business Council

DES MOINES — Reynolds W. Cramer, chief executive officer of Fareway Stores, and Cory J. Reed, senior vice president of the Intelligent Solutions Group for Deere and Company, have accepted invitations to join the Iowa Business Council (IBC). Council membership consists of the top executives of the state’s largest employers, the three Regent universities, and the Iowa Bankers Association.

“Both Reynolds and Cory exemplify the impressive talent and strength of corporate leadership here in Iowa and the Midwest,” said Mike Wells, president and CEO of Wells Enterprises and current IBC chairperson. “These two gentlemen are excellent additions to our membership, providing key resources to IBC and the important economic and workforce development policy work underway in Iowa.”

Reynolds Cramer is chief executive officer (CEO) of Fareway Stores, Inc., elected to this role in February 2014. His 30-year history with the company began in 1985 working in the Boone store. Prior to being elected CEO, he was Fareway’s executive vice president in charge of all retail operations – oversight of which he continues still today. Established in 1938, Fareway is one of Iowa’s largest employers with over 8,000 employees in retail, warehousing, distribution, construction, and its corporate offices in Boone.
