Kirby Konkler, 52, 209 E. Mills St. Apt. 4, was charged on a Union County warrant for false imprisonment and domestic abuse assault impeding air flow 3:59 p.m. Thursday at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a female in reference to an assault that had been taking place the last couple days. Officers met with the female, who said Konkler had been holding her in her apartment and was not allowing her to leave. While he was holding her against her will, the female said Konkler had placed his hand over her mouth and held her against the bed, as well as thrown her down on the bed.

Konkler was released on $3,000 bond.
