Martha Kay Woosley, age 68, of Quitman, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas, due to complications from back surgery.

Martha Kay Partlow was born December 27, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa to Martha (Wilson) and Virgil Partlow. Marty grew up in Creston, Iowa, graduating from Creston High School in 1964. She was united in marriage to high school sweetheart Lynn Woosley on July 18, 1964. They share three children Brian, Clinton, and Jennifer.

Lynn and Marty moved to Plano, Texas in 1980. Marty had a love for all arts. She owned and operated The Great American Cover Up. This quilt shop brought hobby and business together. Marty went on to be a member of numerous crafting guilds and clubs throughout the Dallas area as well as traveling all over the country meeting up with her many friends at artistic conferences. Her artistry included quilting, painting, paper crafts, polymer clay, and jewelry making, just to name a few. Marty enjoyed antiquing and renovating homes with her best friend Lynn.

Survivors include husband Lynn Woosley, her three children Brian (wife Cathie) Meng of Des Moines, Iowa, Clinton (wife Chelsea) Woosley of San Antonio, Texas, Jennifer (husband Mark) Barnaby of Parker, Texas; five grandchildren Emily and Ethan Meng, Tess Woosley, Sydney and Samuel Barnaby and step granddaughter Mona Ceguara; two siblings Patricia (husband John) Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, John Partlow (friend Linnea) of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters-in-law Patricia (husband Phil) White of Mesa, Arizona, Charlene Hudson of Creston, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Martha Partlow; in-laws Lee and Irene Woosley; sister-in-law Jacque Partlow; brother-in-law Ronald Hudson; and nephew Marc Jones.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Parker, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arthritis Foundation or the SPCA of Texas. Condolences may be sent to 1381 CR 3230, Quitman, Texas, 75783.
