Georgia Etta Kinne was born March 26, 1921 to Roy Francis and Geneva Elnora (Neely) Hainey in Barnard, Missouri during a blizzard. She departed this life on August 22, 2014.

The Hainey family ran a family dairy business with Georgia Etta serving the role of delivery girl. She graduated from Barnard High School and attended some college in Maryville. On March 30, 1940, she was united in marriage to Donald Ross Kinne in Troy, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children; Donald, Jr., Linda, and Jane. In 1946, the Kinne family moved to Shannon City, Iowa. In February 1947, they moved to Tingley which would become her beloved hometown.

Georgia Etta was active in the Tingley Christian Church helping send boxes of homemade cookies to veterans in Knoxville and organizing church dinners for fund raising and funerals. She was an avid gardener sharing her ample produce with friends and neighbors, especially her strawberries. Her hobby of sewing left the granddaughters with the best in Barbie fashion; these outfits were also shared with her great granddaughters. Georgia Etta enjoyed cooking and baking. Her grandkids fondly remember a summer party where each had their own birthday cake. Georgia Etta was instrumental in founding the Tingley Friendship Meal site that continues to serve seniors in the area today.

In 1992, she gained the nickname “GG” so it would be easier for her great grandchildren to pronounce her name. “GG” was destined to be a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother as she was named after both of her grandmothers; Georgia Neely and Etta Hainey. She shared her hope to live long enough for her great grandchildren to remember her. In 2010, she moved in with granddaughter, Becky, and family and enjoyed the special times together. In 2013, she moved to the Mount Ayr Health Care Center where she enjoyed the company of her roommate, Willa Poore.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Linda (Gary) Myers; daughter Jane (Tom) Skillicorn; grandchildren Kevin (Aleta) Myers, Laura (Shannon) Burke Becky, (Jeff) Fletchall, Lisa (Roy) Beard; great grandchildren Sawyer Myers, Trey Myers, Lucas Myers, Scott Burke, Elizabeth Burke, Emily Burke, Morgan Beard, Ross Beard, Amanda Beard, Lauren Beard, Hannah Fletchall, Hope Fletchall, Haylee Fletchall, and Jaxx Fletchall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and son.
