Austin Reed, 19, of Lenox was cited for underage possession of alcohol 5 p.m. Thursday in Lenox.
According to a Lenox Police report, officers observed Reed in the 400 block of West Illinois Street. Officers were attempting to locate Reed for questioning in another incident. While speaking with Reed, officers could tell Reed had been drinking. A preliminary breath test was administered and confirmed the presence of alcohol in his system.
Reed was issued the citation and released.

Abel Vasquez, 18, of Lenox was charged with assault causing injury 5 p.m. Sunday in Lenox.
According to a Lenox Police report, officers were dispatched to a reported assault in the 200 block of North Main Street. Following investigation into the incident, Vasquez was charged and transported to Taylor County Jail.
Vasquez was released on his own recognizance.
