New library, new possibilities

From Kay Raymond, library patron

Creston

Our current library is bursting at the seams. The library is in dire need of space: reading space, study space, meeting/community space and tutorial/learning space. As a teacher, I have tutored students in the genealogy room which is not private nor ideal.

It is my understanding that Gibson Memorial Library does not have much more hard wire for technology which is essential for the 21st century.

When I was growing up in Illinois, I was fortunate to have a wonderful library. This is my hope for Creston. The move to a renovated Lincoln School will provide ample space. The library can partner with the Learning Center and the Creston Arts Council just to name a few opportunities.

Creston Area Library and Cultural Center, Thinking Bigger, has endless and exciting possibilities!
